Jesus Shows Us How to Be Victorious in Christian Life
Do you desire to live a victorious Christian life? Do you have a desire to see your life align with the testimonies found in Scripture? We know the Word of God intellectually and we can even quote many verses. However, I want us to discover the belief of our heart. For with the heart, man believes. We cannot go beyond our expectation no matter how much scripture we can quote. This lesson is important for you because of this truth: without an attitude, satan will bully you. With an attitude, you will put satan in his place.
Attitude definition: a settled way of thinking about someone or something and is reflected in one’s behavior.
Jesus had an attitude of expectation before the New Testament was ever recorded.
Let us look at the life of Jesus. He is our prototype of what is possible. What we see in Him is also in us. He walked with expectation. He spent time seeing and hearing from His Father. This produced an imagination of victory in every situation. He had confidence that the power of God was alive and actively flowing through Him to transform lives. He had an attitude of victory and he lived a victorious Christian life.
If we spend time watching and listening from the heavenly realm, we too will transform our wishes into expectations. You see, there is a lot of wishing going on in the body of Christ. We wish and beg for God to do something to produce the desired change. Yet, we continue to see ourselves as we were before the prayer. Where is the attitude of victory? That’s the key to live a victorious Christian life.
What Are the Characteristics of a Victorious Christian Life?
Your beliefs will determine your attitude. When we put on a mindset of victory, our attitude will align. Christians are warriors. We are not called to be intimidated but rather we are bold as a lion. We got a roar of victory because the greater one lives within us.
Your imagination is also important.
Do you see yourself as able to overcome all adversity that the enemy throws at you?
In reality, satan is stripped of all power. No Christian should ever feel stuck and powerless, for we have been given the power of God. Obstacles are opportunities in disguise. We get to enforce the victory that Christ has given to us and watch all opposing forces be conquered.
However, to have these characteristics we must get a correct perspective on a few things. The opinion you hold regarding yourself, your view about God and your thoughts about the devil all have an influence on our heart. These issues determine your attitude which determines your altitude.
Attitude Reveals Expectations of Victory
Let us quit thinking God has failed and begin to examine our own hearts. We must align our soul with a spiritual truth. We must come to agreement with a new reality. This reality is heavenly. There are no limitations, only expectations.
We must learn how to live as a heavenly being while residing on earth. The natural realm is filled with impossibilities and negativity. It attempts to control our mindset to a mere human. However, we are heavenly beings. Born again believers have been born from above. We are to be an ambassador for the kingdom of God and invade earth with a heavenly perspective. To do this, we need an attitude of victory. An attitude that goes beyond the limited thinking of humanity and taps into the mind of Christ.
Friends, what is possible for a man or woman filled and united with God? We are the anointed ones of God on earth. He still works miracles; He still has dominion over all sickness and demons, and He does His works through believers. You use His power! That is the key, believers believe and expect the power of God to flow through them. That is an attitude of victory. Your mindset determines your attitude. We must develop a mindset that looks like the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). We have the mind of Christ.
Are you seeing the picture? The state of our mindset and attitude are essential if we want to live a victorious Christian life.
A Royal Attitude
Do you have the attitude and expectation to overcome all that comes against you to steal, kill and destroy? Jesus has given us His authority, power, armor, weapons, and victory. He has stripped satan of all ability and deprived him from the ability to harm you.
Your enemies really are defeated so that you can expect to be triumphant. This means we are the determining factor. It is the voice that we believe, lean into, and agree with that causes our life to be a struggle or a victorious adventure. We are the ones in charge of our life. We get to choose the mindset of Jesus and walk with an attitude of victory. We get to overcome every obstacle we face in life. We get to be triumphant overcoming victorious Christians. You are a royal child of God! You get to wear the victor’s crown! A royal attitude looks good on you!
Attitude Presents an Opportunity for Victory
In every situation, you are crowned as the victor! Every single day is an opportunity to advance! With God on your side, every day should be better than the day before. This means we are to expect better health, financial gains, relationships are growing, and our youth is being renewed.
God intends for us to carry ourselves through life with an attitude of victory in agreement with His Word. We must come into alignment that we live by His Word and His reality and that we have overcome the natural worldly system, the spiritual enemies, and the curse of the law.
The natural man says with age comes problems and you can expect seasons to alter your health. God’s Word says He will renew our youth and quicken our mortal bodies along with the promise that no plague shall come near you. We have a choice to choose. When two options are presented, one will lead to victory and the other will cause defeat. Your attitude will open the door to the one your mind expects to become your reality.
The spiritual enemies have been defeated and conquered already and Jesus has given you His victory as well as His power and authority to rule over them.
Finally, Jesus bore the wages of our sin and took the curse of the law upon Himself to free us from its penalties and enable us to receive the blessings of God.
Truly, we are overcomers! Put your attitude of victory on today and never let anyone strip you of that expectation. As you begin to do this, you will truly start to live a victorious Christian life!
